Aziemah Othman

Aziemah Othman is an early-career academic at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. She is a researcher with the Unheard Consumer Research Cluster, which seeks to understand the complex experiences and needs of consumers who are often overlooked in the marketplace. The cluster amplifies these voices, bringing their concerns to the attention of researchers, students, industry, government, and society to drive meaningful change.

As part of this research cluster, the Lived Experience Team (LET) works on the frontline to collect authentic consumer insights. In her role as LET’s project manager, Aziemah has successfully led multiple demand-driven research projects in collaboration with industry partners in the aged care sector. LET specializes in capturing the lived experiences of unheard consumers through in-depth discussions, providing valuable perspectives that inform policy and practice.

In addition, Aziemah serves as the program facilitator for a program aimed at educating and upskilling consumers and community members in fundamental research principles. Through this program, participants gain the skills and confidence to co-design and lead health projects in partnership with researchers and stakeholders, fostering more inclusive and consumer-driven research.
